Keeping it nice and simple, let’s talk about the stupid comparisons between The Dark Night Rises and Avengers..
First of all, the comparison itself is unjust to both movies. While TDKR is obviously more drama-oriented, Avengers is not. Avengers is an action flick, crossover ass-kicking event. That’s all. TDKR will probably be as good if not better than TDK and Avengers will be equally as good, having the criteria of goodness slightly different in both movies. If you had seen the previous Marvel movies, you can clearly see how different their approach is from Nolan’s Batman movies. Just enjoy the epicness you are bound to witness this summer.
Bottom line is, I honestly can’t wait for both movies and I’m sure I will be satisfied with both Whedon and Nolan’s work.
On a side note, I feel sorry for The Amazing Spider-Man being overshadowed by those two movies. I’m excited for that as well for I didn’t really like the first three movies and I think Garfield is a better Spider-Man than Maguire.
My pride and joy from MEFCC, a signed MvC3 poster by Alvin Lee; my favourite guest of the event. Really down to earth man. Added to list of favourite celebrities of all time, even though he is ‘just’ an illustrator.
Linkin Park - Burn It Down
We finally have a new Linkin Park song, on my birthday too. It sparks the same arguments started with The Catalyst. I personally got over the part of wanting more Hybrid Theory and Meteora. The band had it say and this is the music we want to make and who am I to hate that? I mean, they still blow our minds with every song. I love ALL Linkin Park music.
It started to get a little redundant to ask for ‘Old’ Linkin Park. Just appreciate the art you are offered.
Also, can’t wait for Living Things, the album cover might be my favourite so far! Masterpiece!
Well, at first you feel happy that you are talking to him after all that time, you talk about normal stuff and then BAM! Life lessons, one after the other. It’s like he keeps reminding me why I look up to him that much. As far as I can remember, he mostly made me the man that I am now, I’ve always aspired to be like him. Although he would be disappointed if he knew what I am really like but I know he won’t judge me. This is why I appreciate him like I do. I don’t necessarily need him to see this, just had to let it out somewhere.
I can only hope I become half the amazing man he is.
/end of appreciation post.

Everyone that knows me will know that I’m very obsessive with the things I like. So, here is a post of appreciation to the brilliance that is, Breaking Bad.
Breaking Bad is a series about this High-school Chemistry teacher who is playing it safe with his life. He finds out that he has lung cancer and that’s when his life starts falling apart, and what does he do? He starts cooking meth. The premise might seem a bit ‘meh’ but the way the story is presented is just plain genius. I only started watching it because a classmate recommended it for me saying if you like Chemistry you should watch and that’s true, I came for the love of chemistry and I stayed for the thrill. I wouldn’t even want to begin on how Bryan Cranston nails the lead role. He is the reason why the show doesn’t get too dull and boring. You actually feel the amount of misfortune this guy has been put up to. Also, he shows impeccable performance conveying the transition from this peaceful man to that meth cook who doesn’t care about anything other than to provide for his family. The series is not very action-packed (in the sense of gunfights and car chases etc.) but it is full of mind-blowing moments and the cast is as amazing as the direction.
All in all, you don’t have to like chemistry to like this show. After all, it’s not strictly about chemistry and drug lords and gangs are always appealing. Once I started watching Breaking Bad, I knew it had the potential to become my favourite drama series yet and now I can safely say it is.
I don’t know what to call this post (Review/Recommendation/Fanboy-ism), so I’m just going to call it an Introduction to Breaking Bad.
The Chemistry must be respected
